I've joined the site on behalf of my dad Frank Buck (known to family and friends by his middle name, Jeff) who was a telegram boy at Queen's Street in Nottingham from 1941 until he was called up for National Service in 1945.
Dad's just turned 80, is fit, well and still living in Nottingham. He faced the elements - and the Luftwaffe occasionally - to deliver his telegrams with life-long friend Tom Heaps and with John Raynor and Graham Pepper (to name but a few of the brave souls who pedalled the length and breadth of Nottingham to deliver those important messages).
If you remember him, send me a message and I'll make sure he gets it. You never know, I might even get him to sit down at the computer and send one of his own.
