Technically not a Mesenger nor a Bantam, days before Telegram delivery was mechanised the first being Leeds 1933. But a350 Postal BSA story based on truth, so as it's Christmas perhaps get away with it . All the best everyone
Well folks thought I'd be finished by dark but it don't seem so. Just stopped off at Blacketts Farm can't refuse a little refreshment keeps the cold out like. First year & Christmas I've had this mechanical contraption the Guvnor puts me on it see , cos I rode bikes during the war. It's OK but nothing like old Gippo me Pony she knew the "Walk" (Delivery Round) better than me , When I's had a few like she'd trot off across the fields, this here bike a 1929 BSA I has to keep to the lanes and go the long way around. Been out since 6am I always get rid of the Princetown stuff first the lags get a pretty heavy batch of mail, then it's back to Sampford after that it's mostly Moor farms and cottages. With weather like this morning ole Gippo would find her way, this ere Motorcycle could'nt see a bloomin hand in front of me. Well it's a full day tomorrow and Christmas day said to the Mrs I'll try to get done by 3pm, have me Chicken ready, trouble is most folk glad to see you, all want you to have a little warmer, nearly wobbled off this thing this morning and kicking the bleeder is a job , never kicked old Gippo , he did me once though. No Idon't like these ere changes, Well better get on me lovelies Have a Good Christmas.
